Week 3 Arbor Standard Schnauzers

WEEK 3 - Arbor Standard Schnauzers

Walking, sitting, seeing, hearing, and learning to lick rather than suckle!  Some more successful than others.  Everyone is over 2 pounds and Blue (of course) is rocking at 3 pounds.

Enjoy!

Arbor B Week 2

The 7 babies are transitioning from the neonates to baby puppies.  Their eyes are opening, and they are beginning to stand on their feet and walk on all 4s.  We are exposing them to different national scents, and textures to feel beneath their feet.  Sometime one the next week their ears will open and they will begin to regulate their own body temperature.

Here is a series of photos and videos of this week.  https://youtu.be/_2pdM4ai5Jo

Why I insist on Puppy Classes for my dogs.

One of the requirements I have of people who take one of my puppies is to attend puppy classes.  The age from 8-16 weeks is a unique window to influence your puppy for the rest of its life.  Lessons learned (bad and good) at this time well be "cooked" into your adult dog.   All of our puppies have unique temperaments (just like people) and this is the time the pup learns to cope in world with its given temperament.

I urge you to download and review Avidog's "97 Ways to Create Great Puppies!"  Its free!
